About Longwood HVAC
Longwood HVAC is operated by 407Local, working one market: the City of Longwood and the unincorporated Seminole County neighbourhoods that share its mailing address. We handle repair, changeouts, heat pumps, maintenance and duct work — on houses that are, more often than not, older than the technician standing in the attic.
What this site actually does differently
A changeout quote should cover the duct system, not just the equipment
Two-thirds of Longwood's housing was built between 1970 and 1989. In that stock the supply runs are the oldest part of the system and the part nobody prices. Our changeout quote says what condition the trunk and branch runs are in and what the return is doing, because that is what decides whether the new equipment performs.
We check the jurisdiction before we quote
Everything west of I-4 with a Longwood address, and all of ZIP 32779, files with Seminole County rather than the City. We check the parcel first. A permit pulled at the wrong desk is a job that cannot close.
We tell you about the rebate before the install, not after
Duke Energy's Home Energy Improvement rebates require a free Home Energy Check completed within the previous 24 months. That is a before-you-buy step. We will say so even when it complicates the quote, because the alternative is a homeowner who finds out in September.
We put our sources on the page
Every permit fee, code section and rebate figure on this site links to the document it came from — the City's ordinance, its fee schedule, the enrolled bill text, the DOE standard. You should be able to check us without calling us.
Service area
Inside the city limits: The Woodlands, Longwood Hills, Highland Hills, Columbus Harbor, Sanlando Springs, Longwood Plantation, Longwood Club, Wildmere Village and the Historic District. Longwood mailing address but unincorporated Seminole County: Sweetwater Oaks, Wekiva Hunt Club, Sabal Point, The Springs and Innswood. We also cover the adjoining Seminole County cities. The full list, with which department each files with.
How this works
We handle the visit, the quote and the work itself, from the first call to the final walkthrough. Florida regulates air conditioning contracting under Chapter 489, Part I. Section 489.119(5)(b) requires a contractor's certification or registration number to appear in every advertisement that contractor runs, and you can look up any contractor's status at the DBPR licensee search: myfloridalicense.com.
